Who are you as a designer?
As a designer, I approach my work with a positive attitude and a readiness to embrace new challenges. I am naturally cheerful and easy-going, always carrying a smile that reflects my enthusiasm for design. I have a capacity for quickly and efficiently learning new skills, which allows me to create unique and diverse designs using various techniques. My design philosophy revolves around the harmonious blend of efficiency and aesthetics.
What are your strengths as a designer?
I am responsible, organized, and a good listener. My positive attitude and cheerful nature are key aspects of my personality. I am a quick learner, adaptable, and capable of tackling new challenges with ease. I enjoy experimenting with various techniques and materials to create unique designs.
In my major in Smart and Sustainable Design with a focus on glass, I have learned various glass working techniques and understanding of glass properties and behaviours; although also in prototyping, 3D modelling, pattern making, Adobe Creative Suite aids in creating compelling visual and graphic designs.
I am enriched in sustainable design principles, enabling me to develop eco-friendly products and processes. I possess a strong sense of aesthetics, colour theory, and design composition, and I am skilled at refining design concepts from initial ideas to final products. My project management experience spans planning, executing, and evaluating design projects, and I thrive in multidisciplinary team environments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Strength ability to critically analyse and improve design processes and outcomes. Being adaptable and open to new technologies and methodologies in the ever-evolving field of design. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present and defend design ideas.
How do you work with sustainability?
Sustainability is at the heart of everything I do as a designer. For instance, I've been experimenting with making glass clay from recycled glass, creating my pieces with recycled glass and learning how to load the kiln for xxx the space and save energy. My focus is always on energy efficiency and the recyclability of materials, aiming to come up with creative solutions that lessen our environmental impact.
What do you want in the future?
Looking ahead, I want to start my career in design. I'm excited to use what I've learned in school in a professional setting and to bring fresh ideas into the corporate world. I'm particularly drawn to projects where I can blend design principles with sustainability and innovative problem-solving. I'm driven to work in international and multidisciplinary teams where I can keep learning and growing as a designer.
