Every great idea starts with a dream. Dreams spark visions, visions inspire action, and action shapes better futures. In this year’s editorial, our fashion and footwear designers gave themselves permission to dream big, play freely, and experiment boldly.
The world is serious enough. We choose to dream, play, and create. From the pieces to the location, this editorial celebrates curiosity, imagination, and the joy of making. For our emerging designers, joy is an act of rebellion. It’s a way to challenge expectations, reimagine the future, and remind us that fashion can be meaningful without losing its sense of fun.
“I wanted to combine playfulness with bold, practical accessories. Inspired by bold femininity and statement details, I aimed to create something eye-catching rather than simple.”
- Serine Turan
“These shoes combine 1990s pop culture with traditional weaving and circular design. Made without adhesives, they’re designed to be disassembled, reused, and recycled. For me, the project was a chance to experiment and turn everyday materials into something new.”
- Heidi Kannisto
“Armadillos began as an experiment: traditional clogs reimagined through surplus sneakers and inspired by the armadillo’s armour. The project taught me to let go of perfection and let the materials lead.”
- Riikka Torpo
“Our size friendly pieces are were inspired by the Lolita style and culture and the beautiful old bedsheets with laces details.”
- Aurora Valkama and Emilia Nurminen
“I believe good design should be practical and timeless. Inspired by Alvar Aalto, I created versatile garments using laser-cutting, monomaterial design, and a zero-waste approach while staying true to my vision.”
- Marjo Nieminen
