We showcased the best works from our fashion and footwear design students at the abandoned Glass Factory in Riihimäki, Finland. These projects are united by a desire for meaningfulness and a better world.
Students have looked for discarded materials and crafted pieces that harbor the past and speak to future audiences. This process not only highlights the significance of sustainability and circularity but also pays homage to the history embedded in each material.
The design methodologies employed by our students delve into the concepts of unisex fashion and circularity. Collaborative design teams have worked together on these pieces. By challenging traditional gender norms and promoting sustainability through circular design, these projects represent a forward-thinking perspective in the fashion and footwear industry.
The abandoned Glass Factory in Riihimäki provides a unique and atmospheric backdrop for these creations, symbolizing the intersection of the old and the new. Each piece on display is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and vision of the designers of tomorrow.
