HAMK University of Applied Sciences is the only institution in Finland offering a dedicated degree program in glass and ceramics design. Our talented students are dedicated to researching these unique materials and their potential in the context of design and art.

Our students' projects emphasize sustainability, using circular and locally sourced materials to inspire their designs.

For this design editorial we brought the designs from our glass and ceramics students to the abandoned Glass Factory in Riihimäki, Finland. This location serves as a bridge between Finland's rich design heritage and the cutting-edge creativity of the next generation linking the old and the new.

Meet the designers of tomorrow—visionaries committed to creating meaningful and sustainable designs. Their work honors the past while shaping the future of glass and ceramics design.
